To be honest, before today, the thought of making cheese at home sounded incredibly daunting, and I suppose we didn’t really make it from scratch, but hey, baby steps!

Stracciatella usually has quite a mild flavour so we tried adding garlic to the cream so it could be extra garlicky and flavourful, and can I just say that it did not disappoint!

Serves: 2

Prep time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 120g bocconcini cheese
  • 1/4 cup thickened cream
  • Salt
  • Garlic Powder

Method

  1. Shred the bocconcini cheese into small pieces
  2. Add the thickened cream, salt and garlic powder to taste, and stir well
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving
