Super simple and super tasty - enough said!

Reasons why you should make this:

5. It's vegetarian friendly (and easily made vegan friendly if you substitute the honey)

Ingredients

  • 500g firm tofu
  • 2 tbsp corn starch
  • 2 tbsp miso paste
  • 1/2 tbsp honey
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 spring onion
  • 4 tbsp water
  • Cooking oil
  • Sesame seeds (optionally, to garnish)

Method

  1. Cut the tofu in cubes
  2. Coat the tofu with the corn starch
  3. Cook the tofu until they are lightly golden
  4. Finely mince the garlic and thinly slice the spring onions
  5. Combine the miso paste, honey, garlic, spring onions and water and stir until the miso paste has dissolved. If you think it is too thick, add water until desired consistency is reached
  6. Pour the sauce over the tofu and stir to coat well
  7. Optionally garnish with extra spring onions and sesame seeds
