Air Fried Pasta Chips

These pasta chips were pretty crispy and chewy and can be served with a lot of different sauces.

Today we chose to eat it with some homemade pesto aioli. Honestly, I really wanted to like it but it was just a tad underwhelming, especially for the amount of effort it took. I think that an easier way to achieve something pretty similar is to do a pasta bake and let a bit of the pasta stick out of the sauce so it can get a bit crispy.

Ingredients

  • 200g dried pasta
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped parsley
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Paprika

Method

  1. Cook pasta according to directions on the packet
  2. Drain pasta and let it cool (or rinse with cold water to speed up this process)
  3. To a bowl, add the cooked pasta, parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika and extra virgin olive oil. Mix until pasta is well coated
  4. Put the pasta in the air fryer at 160 degrees celsius for 10 minutes, or until pasta is golden brown
